Custom seat wall with crosses bored into boulders.
This was a landscape renovation for Paradise Hills United Methodist Church. The Crimson Thread, the blood of Jesus Christ, is manifested in many areas on the church grounds through the path material to the plant choices.
Plan view of the site.
Pathway through the right of way connecting the post office to the east with the neighborhood to the west of Albuquerque.
The tiles on the seat wall facade were made by the congregation members of PHUMC, many of the children, making it unique and memorable for the church family.
The finished courtyard provides seating and shade.
Detail of the seatwall tiles. The hand on the left is John Barney’s, the builder, & the hand on the right is Teresa Harner’s, the designer and a church member at the time.
